The Gentle Bio-Energetics Institute is a small organization with an important and powerful mission: we train professionals, parents and peers to use Dr. Eva Reich’s Gentle Bio-Energetics to create a safer environment for the newborn and mothers and individuals who have suffered trauma. Our budget is small, the needs are great and I believe it is more important than any time in the past for our message to be given voice. We teach the importance of touch, safe environments, community support and loving assistance.
The demand for our work is increasing and we are working very hard to meet that demand. Just this past year, my assistant trainers and I have worked across Europe and North America to introduce more than 1000 individuals to Eva Reich’s Gentle Bio-Energetics, including:
8-Day Advanced GBE Training Programs in Latvia, Poland and Greece
GBE Good Beginnings Training - Poland and Greece- Eutokia center
Workshop at European Association Body Psychotherapy Congress in Athens
Developed contacts in Norway, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, for future training programs
Presentations of GBE in Gozo, Malta
Supervision programs for trainees in Latvia, Greece, Poland, and Lithuania
Psychodrama Birth Workshop in Latvia for adults having had difficult births
Training for student assistants to enable future expansion of programs
Developed promotional videos
We see both the need and opportunity to expand our work even further in 2017, including new programs in Singapore, Norway, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Portugal.
Quite simply, our work cannot be done without your help. I am deeply grateful for all the support we have been given from our generous and caring donors and sponsors. And we need your help now more than ever. You see our programs are not financially self-sustaining on their own. We strive to keep our offerings affordable for those who need them most, recognizing that this approach is not in itself a "business model" that allows for a positive operating margin. Your contributions make up the difference…and make the difference in our sustainability. Just as our students are making a difference in the lives of so many, so too do you make a difference in their ability to get solid training in our proven methods.
